Description and Design Process
The Nevada Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit was in need of a major refresh for their outdated logo. While they wanted to preserve the key elements—specifically the animals featured in the original design—they also hoped to achieve a more unified and visually appealing look. To address this, I created a cohesive setting by adding a defined surface for the animals to stand on, which helped ground the composition. I also introduced a background to bring more context and balance to the overall design. Each animal was carefully redesigned, incorporating shadows and refined details to add a sense of depth and realism. Additionally, the organization requested that the new logo be enclosed within a circle and include wrapped text, which I incorporated to meet their specifications. The result is a modernized logo that honors their original concept while enhancing clarity and visual harmony.
